I had inherited a rare copy of The London Art of Cookery published in 1807 from my husband’s family and this was the inspiration for Quaking Pudding.

Sixty Eight of the long forgotten recipes including Love Apple Sauce, Whigs and Beef Gobbets were tried, tested and brought up to date to revive delicious tastes of the past that appear in Quaking Pudding. The book also tells the fascinating history of the family who’d once owned the book.
