WINDFALLS THE ANIMATION SERIES

The original Paddington Bear TV series was filmed at the London studios of FilmFair and when this company became interested in turning my Windfalls into a stop-frame animation series I was thrilled. But before this could happen I had to prove my characters were capable of movement.

After many frustrating weeks of trial and error and learning to operate a rostrum camera, I eventually succeeded.  My little character may have looked like a drunk with his jerky movements but he actually walked! And, in due course an agreement was reached for an animation series to be filmed for Children’s ITV. A production team was assembled with myself as the writer, model maker and director. It took two years of intensive work to complete the series and when it was screened and shared with young viewers across the UK and around the world the feedback was wonderful. All the efforts into making the series had been more than worthwhile.
